Matt O’Donnell dove headfirst into the world of San Francisco advertising straight out of college in 2005. He spent five years under the tutelage of editors Bob Frisk, Robbie Proctor, Sheila Sweeney, Mitra Tyree, and others while at Bonfire Labs (nee Phoenix Editorial). Matt has also hung his shingle at Barbary Post, Beast, and Misfit. His freelance career has seen him haunting the edit bays and kitchens of post shops and agencies like Ntropic, Umlaut, MFD, Bonfire Labs, Remedy, Form & Fiction, Swordfish, Heist, VBP, Grey SF, Monks, FCB, Laundry, etc, etc.

Matt is as much at home with traditional agency creatives as he is with in-house teams. He’s been boots-on-the-ground as editor and consultant for brands like Apple, Google, Salesforce, Airbnb, Pinterest, Chase, and others.
